Ring ESG Report

Description

3R Sustainability was contracted by Ring Container Technologies to support their near and long-term sustainability initiatives with an added focus on improving rating systems’ scores.  

The engagement was kicked off with a Materiality and Gap Assessment to identify current strengths and areas of improvement and opportunity for Ring based on current policies, procedures, industry best practices and stakeholder engagement. 3R then worked with Ring’s leadership to develop an actionable and prioritized Sustainability Plan for the organization which included targets and key performance indicators to track progress towards the outlined goals.  

Working across various business functions within Ring’s organization, 3R collected data and case studies for Ring’s inaugural ESG report. The report was prepared in accordance with the GRI Standards and included SASB disclosures and relevant UN Sustainable Development Goals. 

Driven by Ring’s commitment to improving its environmental impacts and reducing climate risks, 3R’s GHG consultants calculated Ring’s full Scope 1 and 2 GHG inventory and conducted a scope 3 screening to identify Ring’s most significant scope 3 categories. 3R worked with Ring to identify and assess its climate-related impacts, build a climate management approach, and then disclose climate risks, opportunities, and impacts to CDP. Finally, 3R will also support Ring in its submission of sustainable procurement, ethics, labor and human rights and environmental metrics and actions to the EcoVadis supply chain sustainability assessment. 

3R is looking forward to continuing to work with Ring as they integrate sustainability initiatives throughout the company.
